The Texarkana Arkansas School District is seeking applicants for Head Football Coach.
Responsibilities include:
• Coaching- Instructing players on techniques, rules, and regulations, and providing individual and group coaching.
• Planning- Developing game strategies, practice schedules, and playbooks, and analyzing game film.
• Managing- Overseeing the team's strength and conditioning programs, and managing the team's budget, equipment, and supplies.
• Communicating- Communicating with players, parents, school administration, and other stakeholders.
• Enforcing- Enforcing discipline and upholding the school's code of conduct and athletic policies.
• Supervising- Supervising athletes at all times, and supervising dressing rooms and the playing area during and after practice.
• Following regulations- Following state, regional, and district regulations governing the football program.
• Other- Handling game-day logistics, preparing award lists, and attending conference meetings.
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
Pass a national criminal background check and a background check of the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry;
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
Arkansas mid-management or other appropriate Arkansas administration certificate desired
Valid Arkansas teaching certificate with physical education endorsement
Valid Arkansas teaching certificate with coaching endorsement preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of the overall operations of a football program
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of state and Arkansas Activities Association policies governing athletics
Calm and patient demeanor with students and others
Experience:
Five years of successful teaching and coaching experience
